Mainstream Energy Solutions Limited (“MESL”), operators of the Kainji and Jebba Hydropower Plants in Niger State, has supported University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada with a 350KVA generator, medical equipment, PPEs and the furnishing of nine rooms at the Trauma Center for the accomodation of frontline health care workers attending to COVID-19 patients.

The Managing Director of the MESL, Engr. Lamu Audu, who led a team of the company’s top management to the Hospital said that the donation was a demonstration of the firm’s goodwill and Corporate Social Responsibility. According to Engr Audu, they zeroed in on the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital because of the frontline role it plays in the battle against the Coronavirus in the country.

Responsing to Engr. Audu’s remark, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Ahmed Ekele, said the donations would go a long way in enhancing service delivery in the battle against the pandemic.
