The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Charity CDS Garki LG3, on Friday, 25th April 2025, donated the sum of Two Hundred and Forty Thousand Naira, to eight indigent patients at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Gwagwalada, to help reduce their medical bills.

The NYSC CDS Inspector, Mrs. Anumnu-Achusim Ifeoma, in her remarks during the donations, said the gesture is aimed at reducing and alleviating the suffering faced by patients who are in critical conditions and who are finding it difficult to settle their medical bills.

The Public Relations Unit, reports that the Corp members donated the sum of Thirty Thousand Naira each (N30,000) to each of 8 indigent patients at the Pediatric Medical Ward, Male Orthopedic Ward, Trauma Centre, Pediatric Oncology Ward and Mental Health Department.

Miss Innocent Oliagba, one of the indigent patients who spoke on behalf of other patients, thanked the Corp members for their kind donations and called on other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate them.

Responding, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Bissallah Ekele, who was represented by the Deputy Director Information, Sani Suleiman, thanked the donors for their kind gesture and said it would go a long way to alleviate the hardship faced by the patients.
