On Friday, May 17, 2024, the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH), Gwagwalada celebrated the completion and handover of its new ultra-modern Cardiovascular Research Unit. This state-of-the-art facility, located next to Professor Felicia Anumah’s Endocrine Centre, was officially handed over to the hospital management by the contractor, Andrew Ocheh of TOPSTRUCT NIG. LTD.
The Chief Medical Director of UATH, Professor Bissallah A. Ekele, along with the hospital’s top management, received the keys to the new complex. This momentous occasion marks a significant upgrade for the unit, which originally began operations on May 17, 2015. Now rebranded as the Cardiovascular Research Centre, the facility is equipped to house both data and administration sections, enhancing its capacity for advanced research and improved patient care.
The new complex underscores UATH’s commitment to advancing medical research and providing top-tier healthcare services.
