Chief Medical Director of the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Dr. Peter Alabi has expressed his gratitude to the Staff of the hospital for providing the enabling environment that led to his re-appointment for another term of four years as CMD of the UATH.
Dr. Alabi, while addressing a meeting of heads of departments and units shortly after his re-appointment, said the understanding he received from staff and their dedication to duty contributed largely to the success recorded during his first four year term and paved way for this re-appointment. He told the meeting that he was particularly grateful to the heads of departments and units for their roles as agents of positive change, growth and development. The CMD gave an assurance that given the same level, if not more, of the co-operation he received in his first term, he would be in a position to take the hospital closer to where it should be in line with its vision and mission.
Heads of departments and Units who took turns to speak at the meeting appealed to the Chief Medical Director to as a matter of priority ensure the completion of all on-going projects initiated by him. They maintained that the completion of such projects as the trauma centre, mortuary expansion and the intensive care nursing school would greatly enhance service delivery and training in the hospital.
